How to Photograph a Bush Turkey
After seeing quite a few bush turkeys (a wee bit smaller than an emu) it became my goal to get a decent photo of one. Yesterday I found my first bird that didn't run directly into 6 ft tall grass. After chasing it with my car (although not going too fast so it would fly away) I had to quickly change to my telephoto lens so I could get close enough. I jumped out of my car and sprinted from shrub to shrub so it wouldn't run too fast. After having the camera on the wrong settings I managed to get one photo that was in focus and not a huge blur. I'm hoping to get a photo of their weird mating dance around sunset one day.
